And he who confines it will surely come to grief.

And indeed failed is the one who covered it in sin.

and failed has he who seduces it.

And miserable is he who hath buried it.

And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allah has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism or by following polytheism, etc. or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds).

Failing is he who corrupts it.

But the hypocrites do not know.

and he who suppresses it will be ruined.

And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it.

and one who betrays it fails.

and failed is he who buried it!

And he has failed who instills it with corruption .

and those who corrupt their souls will certainly be deprived (of happiness).

And he will indeed fail who corrupts it.

and he who corrupts it is sure to fail.

And he fails that corrupts it!

But God knows their secret intentions well.

But God knows their secret thoughts.

Allah has full knowledge of their secret parleys.

And Allah knows what they conceal.

But God knows all their secrets.

God knows their secrets.

And yet most of them are averse and do not listen,

Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not.

(See Verse 47 15)

But most of them turn away, so they do not listen.

Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed.

But most of them turn away so that they hear not.

But most of them turn away from it , so they do not listen.

But the payment of the unbelievers is the Fire.

That is the consequence for the righteous, and the consequence for the disbelievers is the Fire.

Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen.

But Allah says the truth, and He guides to the (Right) Way.

God speaks the truth, and guides to the path.

God tells the Truth and shows the right path.

And be rewarded but only for what you had done,

And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.

and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.'

And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing

And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world)

And you will be repaid only for what you used to do.

You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.

Ye are requited naught save what ye did

and you will be requited only for what you used to do

but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing.
