However, fasting is better and will be rewarded.

And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know.

But to fast is best for you, if you only knew.

But if you understand the thing, it is better for you to observe the Fast.

But he who does good of his own accord shall be well rewarded but to fast is better for you, if you only knew.

And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.

Your fasting, your not eating, that has been your great error.

Jesus said to them, Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can't fast.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

But whosoever finds not the means, then let him fast two successive months, before the two of them touch one another.

And he who finds not (the money for freeing a slave) must fast two successive months before they both touch each other.

But whoever cannot find the means must fast for two consecutive months before they may touch one another.

He who cannot afford to free a slave shall fast for two successive months before they may touch each other.

He who is unable shall fast for two successive months before they touch one another.

If one cannot set free a slave, he must fast for two consecutive months, and only then can he have lawful carnal relations.

And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other.

Yet better it is for him who volunteers good, and that you should fast is better for you, if you but know

Should anyone do good of his own accord, that is better for him, and to fast is better for you, should you know.

Whosoever volunteers good, it is good for him but to fast is better for you, if you but knew.

If one does not have the means (of doing so) then he should fast for two months continuously before he has physical contact but any one who is unable to do so, should feed sixty needy persons.

So one who cannot find a slave, must then fast for two successive months before they touch one another and one who cannot even fast, must then feed sixty needy ones this is in order that you keep faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger and these are the limits of Allah and for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.

And whosoever cannot afford then for him is a fast of three days during the pilgrimage and of seven when ye return these are ten days complete.

And whosoever findeth not a slave to free on him is the fasting for two months in succession before the twain touch each other, and on him who is not able to do so is the feeding of sixty needy ones.

But if he lacks the means, then fasting for three days during the Hajj and seven when you have returned, making ten in all.

But if he cannot afford a sacrifice, he shall fast three days during the Hajj season and seven days after reaching home, that is, ten days in all.

And he who does not find a slave (to free), shall fast for two months consecutively before they may touch each other and he who is unable to do so shall feed sixty needy people.

And whosoever cannot find (such gifts), then a fast of three days while on the pilgrimage, and of seven when ye have returned that is, ten in all.

And he who findeth not (the wherewithal), let him fast for two successive months before they touch one another and for him who is unable to do so (the penance is) the feeding of sixty needy ones.

As for someone who cannot afford the offering , let him fast three days during the hajj and seven when you return that is a period of ten complete days .

And whoever cannot find or afford such an animal then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned home .

And he who does not find a slave then a fast for two months consecutively before they touch one another and he who is unable then the feeding of sixty poor persons.

If you do not find an animal, you have to fast for three days during the days of the pilgrimage rituals and seven days at home to complete the required ten fasting days.

But whoever has not the means, let him fast for two months successively before they touch each other then as for him who is not able, let him feed sixty needy ones that is in order that you may have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and these are Allah's limits, and the unbelievers shall have a painful punishment.

But now he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.

When you are secure, then whosoever enjoys the Visitation until the Pilgrimage, let his offering be such as may be feasible or if he finds none, then a fast of three days in the Pilgrimage, and of seven when you return, that is ten completely that is for him whose family are not present at the Holy Mosque.

Then if you are in safety and whosoever performs the 'Umrah in the months of Hajj, before (performing) the Hajj, (i.e. Hajj at Tamattu' and Al Qiran), he must slaughter a Hady such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, he should observe Saum (fasts) three days during the Hajj and seven days after his return (to his home), making ten days in all.

When you are safe, then whosoever enjoys the visitation until the pilgrimage, let his offering be that which may be easy, but if he lacks the means, let him fast three days during the pilgrimage and seven when he has returned, that is, ten days in all.

In times of peace, if any of you combines the minor pilgrimage with the Hajj, he should make whatever offering he can afford, but if he lacks the means, then let him fast three days during the pilgrimage and for seven days after his return that is, ten days in all.

And if any of you is ill, or has an ailment in his scalp, (Necessitating shaving), (He should) in compensation either fast, or feed the poor, or offer sacrifice and when ye are in peaceful conditions (again), if any one wishes to continue the 'umra on to the hajj, He must make an offering, such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, He should fast three days during the hajj and seven days on his return, Making ten days in all.
