And do not speak of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead nay, (they are) alive, but you do not perceive.

Do not say that those who are killed in God's cause are dead they are alive, but you are not aware of it.

Have not such men fallen into temptation?

Surely, they have fallen into trial.

In fact, they sunk into trouble.

Lo! They have already fallen into temptation.

Surely it is into temptation that they (thus) have fallen.

Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen.

And do not ever assume that those who are slain in Allah's cause, are dead in fact they are alive with their Lord, receiving sustenance.

And reckon not thou those slain in the way of Allah to be dead.

Think not of those who are killed in the Way of Allah as dead.

Do not consider those killed in the cause of God as dead.

Think not of those slain in the way of Allah as dead.

Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead.

You must not think that those who were killed in the way of Allah are dead.

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead.
