(Muhammad) listen and consider our question.

I should like to hear that from them in clear terms.

And they say We are more (than you) in wealth and children.

I'd like to have you look at your priority list and say, did you get it right?

But he warned them, and commanded them to tell this to no one,

And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing

There were no laws saying what they could or could not do.

American parents were more likely to say things like, What if? What if?

And (further) We have far more wealth and children (than you), and we are not the ones to be punished.

And they said, We are greater in wealth and children we will not be punished!

They also said, 'We are more abundant in wealth and children, and we shall not be chastised.'

And they said we are more numerous in riches and children, and we are not going to be tormented.

And they say We are more in wealth and in children, and we are not going to be punished.

And they say, We have more wealth and more children, and we will not be punished.

It would indeed have been better for them and more upright if they had said 'We have heard and we obey' (sami'na wa ata'na) and 'Do listen to us, and look at us (with kindness)' (wa isma' wa unzurna).

They always said We have more wealth and children than you have, and we shall not be chastised.

They say, We have greater wealth and more children, and we will not be punished!

And they said 'We have been given an abundance of wealth and children we shall never be punished'

And they said, We are more than the believers in wealth and children, and we are not to be punished.

We are the ones who have more wealth and children and we shall suffer no punishment .

And they say We have more wealth and children, and we shall not be punished.

But if they had said, We hear and we obey, and Listen to us and look at us with favour, that would have been better and more proper for them.

They say, We have more wealth and children and we are surely not going to be punished.

They said We have more in wealth and in sons, and we cannot be punished.

if they if they if they actually if they actually said that, I'm getting out.

If they had said, 'We have heard and obey' and 'Hear' and 'Regard us,' it would have been better for them, and more upright but God has cursed them for their unbelief so they believe not except a few.

And had they said we hear and obey, and hear thou, and UNZURNA, it had surely been better for them and more upright.

And Ra'ina with a twist of their tongues and as a mockery of the religion (Islam).

Had they said, We hear and we obey , and Listen , and Give us your attention, it would have been better for them, and more upright.

If they had said We hear and we obey hear thou, and look at us it had been better for them, and more upright.

But had they said, We hear and obey and Listen and Unzurna, it would have been better for them and more upright.

But if they had said 'We have heard and obey' and 'Hear' and 'Regard us' it would have been better for them, and more upright but Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they do not believe, except a few.

And if they had said instead , We hear and obey and Wait for us to understand , it would have been better for them and more suitable.

If only they had said What hear and we obey and Do hear and Do look at us it would have been better for them, and more proper but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief and but few of them will believe.

We never sent an admonisher to a habitation but its well to do people said We do not believe in what you have brought.

And whenever We sent a Herald of Warning to any town, its wealthy people said, We disbelieve in what you have been sent with.

We sent no warner into any city except its men who lived at ease said, 'We disbelieve in the Message you have been sent with.'

And We sent not a warner Unto a town but the affluent thereof said ' verily in that wherewith ye have been sent we are disbelievers.

And We did not send a warner to a township, but those who were given the worldly wealth and luxuries among them said We believe not in the (Message) with which you have been sent.

We sent no warner to any town, without its affluent saying, We reject what you are sent with.

We never sent a warner to any town but its wealthy ones said We disbelieve in the Message you have brought.

And We sent not unto any township a warner, but its pampered ones declared Lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent.

We did not send a warner to any town without its affluent ones saying, We indeed disbelieve in what you have been sent with.

We never sent a warner to a village except that those (who lived) in luxury said 'We disbelieve in the Message you have been sent with'

And We did not send into a city any warner except that its affluent said, Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers.
