Thus those who were false to Allah and His Messenger in their covenant remained behind.

And those who lied to Allah and His messenger sat at home.

Those who called God and His Messengers liars also stayed home (with those who were truly exempt).

Those who lied to God and His Messenger stayed behind at home.

But he answered, I wasn't sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel

For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel

God desires to remove impurities from you, O inmates of this house, and to cleanse and bring out the best in you.

And remain in your houses and do not unveil yourselves like the unveiling prevalent in the times of ignorance, and keep the prayer established, and pay the charity, and obey Allah and His Noble Messenger Allah only wills to remove all impurity from you, O the People of the Household, and by cleansing you make you utterly pure. ( The Holy Prophet s household.)

People of the House, God only desires to put away from you abomination and to cleanse you.

Allah only desireth to take away uncleanness from you, people of the house hold, and to purify you with a thorough purification.

Allah wishes only to remove ArRijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet SAW), and to purify you with a thorough purification.

God desires to remove all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and to purify you thoroughly.

Allah only wishes to remove uncleanness from you, O members of the (Prophet's) household, and to purify you completely.

Indeed Allah desires to repel all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and purify you with a thorough purification.

O family of the House, Allah only wishes to distance fault from you, and to cleanse you, and to purify you abundantly.

Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity of sin , O people of the Prophet's household, and to purify you with extensive purification.

People of the house, God wants to remove all kinds of uncleanliness from you and to purify you thoroughly.

Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.

Women of the Prophet s Household, God seeks only to remove all impurity from you, and to make you completely pure.

And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

And whosoever leaves his home as an emigrant unto Allah and His Messenger, and death overtakes him, his reward is then surely incumbent upon Allah.

Anyone who leaves his home, emigrating to God and His Messenger, and then is overtaken by death, his compensation falls on God.

And he who goes forth from his house as a migrant in the way of Allah and His Messenger, and whom death overtakes, his reward becomes incumbent on Allah.

Whosoever leaves his house an immigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his wage shall have fallen upon Allah.

And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah.

Those who leave home for the cause of God and His Messenger but is then overtaken by death, shall be recompensed by God.

Those who stayed behind rejoiced at their staying behind the Messenger of God.

Those who were allowed to stay behind rejoiced at remaining behind and not accompanying the Messenger of Allah.

Those who did not take part in the battle (of Tabuk), were glad about their staying home against the order of the Messenger of God.

Those who stayed at home were glad that they were left behind by God's Messenger.

And came the ignorant who make excuses seeking exemption, and those who lied to Allah and His Noble Messenger remained seated a painful punishment will soon reach the disbelievers among them. ( of faith)

And the Bedouins came with their excuses, asking for leave those who lied to God and His Messenger tarried there shall befall the unbelievers of them a painful chastisement.

And there came the apologists from among dwellers of the desert men praying that leave may be given them and those Who had lied unto Allah and His apostle sat at home.

And those who made excuses from the bedouins came (to you, O Prophet SAW) asking your permission to exempt them (from the battle), and those who had lied to Allah and His Messenger sat at home (without asking the permission for it) a painful torment will seize those of them who disbelieve.

Some of the Desert Arabs came to make excuses, asking to be granted exemption, while those who were untrue to God and His Messenger stayed behind.

Some of the Bedouins who sought to be excused came, so that they may be granted leave to stay back while those who lied to Allah and His Apostle sat back.

Some Arabs of the desert who had an excuse came asking permission to stay behind whilst those who belied Allah and His Messenger remained behind.

And those with excuses among the bedouins came to be permitted to remain , and they who had lied to Allah and His Messenger sat at home .

And the defaulters from among the dwellers of the desert came that permission may be given to them and they sat (at home) who lied to Allah and His Apostle a painful chastisement shall afflict those of them who disbelieved.

And there were, among the desert Arabs (also), men who made excuses and came to claim exemption and those who were false to Allah and His Messenger (merely) sat inactive.

And whoever leaves his home migrating toward Allah and His Apostle, and is then overtaken by death, his reward shall certainly fall on Allah, and Allah is all forgiving, all merciful.

David said to Uriah, Go down to your house, and wash your feet. Uriah departed out of the king's house, and a gift from the king was sent after him.

And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king.
