The old man begged me for money.

One should give alms to the poor.

By holding the begging bowl and receiving alms?

Are you afraid of giving alms before confering?

Were you afraid to offer charity before you consult?

Are you afraid, before your conspiring, to advance freewill offerings?

And of them are some who traduce thee in respect of alms.

Shrink ye at your offering the alms before your whispering!

And of them are some who accuse you (O Muhammad SAW) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms.

Are you afraid of spending in charity before your private consultation (with him)?

And among them are those who criticize you in regard to charities.

Are you reluctant to offer charity before your conversation?

(O Prophet), some of them find fault with you in the distribution of alms.

Are you afraid that you will have to offer charity when you hold private conversation with the Prophet?

And of them is he who defameth thee in the matter of the alms.

Fear ye to offer alms before your conference?

Were you dismayed by having to offer charities before your private talks?

There are some among them who find fault with you concerning the distribution of alms.

Are you afraid to offer a freewill offering before your consultation?

And among them are some who criticize you concerning the distribution of charities.

Have you feared to present before your consultation charities?

They blame you about the distribution of the welfare funds.

Were you afraid that giving in charity before your consultation would make you poor?

Do you fear that you will not (be able to) give in charity before your consultation?

Among them there are some who find fault with you concerning the distribution of alms.

Do you fear that you will not be able to give in charity before your consultation?

Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)?

Major firms are begging for government handouts to tide them over.

Indians today, he averred, want jobs, not handouts.

I do not want to see again farmers reduced to the existing on hand outs.

The alleged handouts empowered those with the least to stand on their own feet and seek to improve their lives.

And do not pick the inferior things to give away, when you yourselves would not accept it except with eyes closed.

And do not intend the bad of it for your spending while you would never take it yourselves, except you closed an eye on it.

And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending from that while you would not take it yourself except with closed eyes.

Do not even think of spending for the cause of God worthless things that you yourselves would be reluctant to accept.

Call for help.

Ask for his advice.

No one asks to be born.

Ask for more money.

Make a wish.

Do they not know that Allah only accepts repentance of His bondmen and He takes the charity and that Allah only is the Most Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful? ( into His control.)

Do they not know that God is He who accepts repentance from His servants, and takes the freewill offerings, and that God He turns, and is All compassionate?

Know they not that it is Allah who accepteth the repentance of His bondmen and taketh the alms, and that it is Allah who is the Relenting, the Merciful!
