That it is He who makes you happy and morose,

And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry?

and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep,

And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep.

And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep

And that it is He who causes laughter and weeping.

and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry,

And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep,

that it is He who makes men laugh, and weep,

that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep.

And that it is He who makes one laugh and weep

It is He who causes laughter and weeping.

And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep

that it is He who brings laughter and tears

That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears

He who makes no mistakes makes nothing.

Allah maketh whom He will to hear.

God makes to listen whomever He wants.

Who is it who stands (watch) over every soul for what it does?

Is He who is watchful over the deeds of every soul?

Is it, then, in regard to Him Who watches over the deeds of every person that they are acting blasphemously by setting up His associates?

Is He Who is aware of the deserts of every soul (as he who is aware of nothing)?

Is He who sustains every soul in spite of what it earns comparable to the idols ?

Then is He who is a maintainer of every soul, knowing what it has earned, like any other ?

(Can anyone be considered equal to) the One who is the Guardian of every soul and the Watcher of what it has gained?

Is He then Who watches every soul as to what it earns?

Is then He who watches over every soul and its actions like any other ?

To whom do you make payments?

(Command of Prostration 6)

And whomsoever Allah despiseth, none can honour verily Allah doth whatsoever He willeth.

But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment and such as Allah shall disgrace, None can raise to honour for Allah carries out all that He wills.

Whoever does good does so for himself, and whoever does wrong bears the guilt thereof.

He who does good does so for himself and he who does evil suffers the consequence thereof.

Whoever does good deeds, so it is for his own good, and whoever commits evil, so it is for his own harm and your Lord does not at all oppress the bondmen.

Whoever does a good deed, so it is for his own good and whoever commits evil, does for his own harm and you will then be returned towards your Lord.

Whoso does righteousness, it is to his own gain, and whoso does evil, it is to his own loss.

Whoso does righteousness, it is to his own gain, and whoso does evil, it is to his own loss then to your Lord you shall be returned.

Whosoever worketh righteously it is for his soul, and whosoever worketh evil it is against it.

Whosoever worketh righteously, worketh for himself and whosoever doth evil, doth against himself then Unto your Lord ye will be made to return.

Whosoever does righteous good deed it is for (the benefit of) his ownself, and whosoever does evil, it is against his ownself, and your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves.

Whosoever does a good deed, it is for his ownself, and whosoever does evil, it is against (his ownself).

Whoever acts righteously does so for himself and whoever works evil does so against himself.

Whoever does a good deed, it is for his soul and whoever commits evil, it is against it then to your Lord you will be returned.

Whoever does good, does so to his own benefit and whoever does evil, will suffer its evil consequence.

Whoever acts righteously, does so to his own good and whoever commits an evil will suffer its consequence.
