When the ledgers are laid open,

And when the Records of Account are laid bare.

when the scrolls shall be unrolled,

And when the Writs shall be lain open,

And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open

When the records are made public.

and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded,

And when the pages are laid open,

When the records of deeds are unfolded,

when the scrolls are unrolled,

And when the pages are made public

the records of deeds are made public,

And when the books are spread,

when the records of men's deeds are laid open,

When the scrolls are laid open

In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets).

Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books.

Nay, every man of them desires to be given scrolls unrolled.

Aye! every one of them desireth that he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded.

Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.).

Yet every one of them desires to be given scrolls unrolled.

No indeed each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them.

Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah).

But everyone of them desires to be given unrolled scriptures from Allah !

Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls.

Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about.

Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally?

Nay every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out

Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them

Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out!

Concerned that the total number of nuclear weapons deployed and in stockpile still amounts to many thousands,

And the 2010 New START agreement brought welcome upper limits to the number of nuclear weapons deployed by the US and Russia.

Have you not seen that all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds on the wing, sing the praises of God.

Have you not seen that all those who are in the heavens and the earth praise Allah, and the birds with their wings spread (also praise Him)?

Hast thou not seen how that whatsoever is in the heavens and in the earth extols God, and the birds spreading their wings?

Beholdest thou not that Allah those hallow Him whosoever is in the heavens and the earth and the birds with wings outspread?

See you not (O Muhammad SAW) that Allah, He it is Whom glorify whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with wings out spread (in their flight).

Do you not realize that God is glorified by whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and even by the birds in formation?

Do you not observe that all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with outspread wings, glorify Allah?

Hast thou not seen that Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the birds in their flight?

Have you not regarded that Allah is glorified by everyone in the heavens and the earth, and the birds spreading their wings.

Have you not seen how Allah is exalted by those in the heavens and earth, and the birds with outspread wings?

Do you not see that Allah is exalted by whomever is within the heavens and the earth and by the birds with wings spread in flight ?

Have you not considered that all that is between the heavens and the earth glorifies God and that the birds spread their wings in the air to glorify God?

Do you not see that Allah is He Whom do glorify all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the (very) birds with expanded wings?
