Gone.

Or can we be returned (to earth), so we may do contrary to what we have done before? Indeed they have put themselves into ruin, and have lost the things they fabricated.

They have indeed lost their souls, and that which they were forging has gone astray from them.

Surely they have lost themselves, and there hath strayed from them that which they were wont to fabricate.

Verily, they have lost their ownselves (i.e. destroyed themselves) and that which they used to fabricate (invoking and worshipping others besides Allah) has gone away from them.

Or, could we be sent back, to behave differently from the way we behaved before? They ruined their souls, and what they used to invent has failed them.

Or, can we be restored to life that we might perform differently from that which we did? ' They surely ended in utter loss, and the lies they had fabricated failed them.

Or can we be returned (to life on earth), that we may act otherwise than we used to act? They have lost their souls, and that which they devised hath failed them.

They have certainly ruined their souls, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them.

They will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.

These people have certainly lost their souls and their evil inventions (which they had used for false excuses) will vanish.

Indeed they have lost their souls and that which they forged has gone away from them.

Or, could we be sent back so that we might act differently from the way we used to? They have indeed ruined their souls and what they invented has forsaken them.

Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past. In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch.

Observe how they lied against themselves, and how they lost the things they fabricated!

Behold how they lie against themselves, and how that which they were forging has gone astray from them!

Behold! how they lied against themselves! and then failed them that which they had been fabricating.

Look! How they lie against themselves! But the (lie) which they invented will disappear from them.

Look how they lied to themselves. And what they invented deserted them.

Behold, how they will lie against themselves and how their forged deities will forsake them!

See how they lie against themselves, and (how) the thing which they devised hath failed them!

Look, how they forswear themselves, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them!

Look how they lie against themselves, and how that which they were forging has gone astray from them!

See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent.

Consider, how they have lied against their own souls and have lost their gods.

See how they lie against their own souls, and that which they forged has passed away from them.

See how they lie to themselves, and how those the deities they invented have deserted them.

Behold! how they lie against their own souls! But the (lie) which they invented will leave them in the lurch.

It is they who put their souls into ruin, and they lost all that they used to fabricate.

Those are they that have lost their souls, and that they forged has gone astray from them

These are they who have lost their souls, and hath strayed from them that which they have been fabricating.

They are those who have lost their ownselves, and their invented false deities will vanish from them.

Those are the ones who lost their souls, and what they had invented has strayed away from them.

They caused utter loss to themselves, and all that they had invented failed them.

Such are they who have lost their souls, and that which they used to invent hath failed them.

They are the ones who have ruined their souls, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them.

Those are they that have lost their souls, and that which they forged has left them

Those are the ones who will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.

They have lost their souls and their false deities will turn away from them.

These are they who have lost their souls, and what they forged is gone from them.

It is such as these who have ruined their souls, and that which they fabricated shall fail them.

They are the ones who have lost their own souls and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch!

Now are the ties betwixt you severed and strayed from you is that which ye were wont to assert.

Now all relations between you and them have been cut off, and all that you used to claim has vanished from you.

The link between you is cut, and what you had asserted has failed you.
