The god Indra has sinned, in that he has sinned against ... a Brahmin.

But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against Yahweh and be sure your sin will find you out.

Consider how they forge falsehood against God and that suffices for a manifest sin

Behold how they fabricate a lie against Allah! and sufficeth that as a manifest sin.

Look, how they invent a lie against Allah, and enough is that as a manifest sin.

Look how they forge lies against Allah, and it is sufficient for a clear sin.

Look how they invent about Allah untruth, and sufficient is that as a manifest sin.

See how they forge the lie against Allah, and this is sufficient as a manifest sin.

Behold! how they invent a lie against Allah! but that by itself is a manifest sin!

You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Set yourselves in array against Babylon all around, all you who bend the bow shoot at her, spare no arrows for she has sinned against Yahweh.

So We seized each for their sin.

So We took each one in his sin of them was he on whom We sent a hurricane, and of them was he who was overtaken by the (Awful) Cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow, and of them was he whom We drowned.

So We seized each of them for his sin among them were those upon whom We unleashed a rain of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the Cry, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned.

So each We seized for his sin and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast from the sky , and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned.

We punished all of these people because of their sin.

So We seized each one for his sins some We struck with a violent storm some of them were overcome by a sudden blast, some were swallowed up by the earth and some We drowned.

Moreover Jeremiah said to king Zedekiah, Wherein have I sinned against you, or against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?

while he said in his defense, Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I sinned at all.

Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?

While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

I said, Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.
