Now, briefly, about the newly tabled amendments.

As regards the appropriations for relief in respect of the coresponsibility levies payable by small producers on cereals and milk and for stepping up the setaside measures, let me say this there are currently surpluses in both the cereal and the milk market.

I have some reservations about that decision, given the inadequate margin available for 1991 for that budget line. In agriculture, the Committee on Budgets has accepted some modifications relating to the coresponsibility levy and other entries but did not accept the EPP group's amendments on Mediterranean products.

But, while recognizing that the laundering of illicit money is a great and growing problem in the EC, about which something needs to be done, we must point out that there are comparable problems in the field of tax evasion.
