And improve my children for me.

He said, And my descendants?

Abraham humbly asked, Does this promise apply to my descendants also?

(Abraham) said And of my offspring (will there be leaders)?

Said he, And from among my descendants?

Abraham said, And of my descendants?

Abraham asked, Will this leadership also continue through my descendants?

Ibrahim said And of my offspring?

Abraham asked, And what of my descendants?

He pleaded And also (Imams) from my offspring!

I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not forever.'

'I will establish your seed forever, and build up your throne to all generations.' Selah.
